This bundled learning activity provides a comprehensive foundation in safe, high‑quality, and patient‑centered care. Learners develop skills to recognize and respond to healthcare emergencies, activate rapid response systems, and follow protocols for events such as fires, active‑shooter situations, and infant or child abductions. The course introduces key regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITRUST/CSF, documentation standards, event reporting, and QAPI processes.

Learners also gain core infection‑prevention competencies, covering hand hygiene, PPE, vaccinations, standard and transmission‑based precautions, and strategies to reduce HAIs and device‑related infections. Additional modules emphasize workplace safety, including injury prevention, clinical alarm safety, handling hazardous drugs, and adherence to national patient‑safety goals. Finally, learners review culturally competent, age‑specific, and respectful care practices, strengthening communication, teaching, and pain‑management skills for diverse populations across the lifespan.
