AWHONN: Neonatal Orientation and Education Program (NOEP)

The Neonatal Orientation and Education Program (NOEP) is a comprehensive, educational program that is highly effective in providing evidence-based, clinical education to neonatal nurses. This Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) program includes sixteen online modules that focus on the essential educational components with diverse photos and images reflective of the NICU environment.

Program features include the following:
  • Narration
  • Knowledge checks
  • Pre-/post tests
  • Reference lists
  • Video
  • Case scenarios

An overall completion certificate for the NOEP program is not provided.  However, the learner receives (1) completion certificate and (1) CNE certificate (if applicable) for each module. If learner completes the program, a total of (16) completion certificates and (16) CNE certificates (if applicable) are available to print.

41.25 total Nursing Contact Hours achievable.  Nursing Contact Hours are available through April 17, 2026

The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Accredited status does not imply endorsement by AWHONN or ANCC of any commercial products discussed/displayed in conjunction with the educational activity.
