Provided by: The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program
S.T.A.B.L.E. is the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program to focus exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants. The S.T.A.B.L.E. Foundations module introduces common maternal conditions and their neonatal consequences, and the potential impact of implicit bias on caregiver interactions with patients. The course then continues to the six assessment and care modules that are organized using the S.T.A.B.L.E. mnemonic: Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support for the family. A seventh module, Quality Improvement stresses the professional responsibility of evaluating and improving care provided to sick infants.
