Perinatal and Orientation Education Program (POEP) is highly effective in providing evidence-based, clinical education to onboard your perinatal nurses. This program addresses the dynamic requirements of perinatal nurses, offering them essential evidence-based resources and helpful tools for optimal performance in their roles.

  • Module 8: System Related Complications of Pregnancy
  • Module 9: Postpartum Assessment and Care
  • Module 10: Postpartum Complications
  • Module 11: Newborn Transition to Extrauterine Life
  • Module 12: Newborn Assessment, Routine Care & Discharge
  • Module 13: Newborn Nutrition
  • Module 14: Newborn Clinical Deterioration
  • Module 15: Newborn Conditions Affecting Care and Outcomes
  • Module 16: Perinatal Loss

49 Nursing contact hours are available through June 2, 2027.  An overall completion certificate for the POEP program is not provided. The learner receives (1) completion certificate and (1) CNE certificate (if applicable) for each module. If learner completes the program, a total of (16) completion certificates and (16) CNE certificates (if applicable) are available to print.
